These instructions are based off of the Black and Decker SpaceMaker toaster oven. A different brand might vary a little on how to install.

First, unpack mounting washers, screws and spacers for mounting, making sure everything is there, and set them aside in a safe place where they will not roll away or get lost. There is a pattern paper included that is called a template.

To start you need to determine if your cabinet has a flat bottom or an overhang. Put your hand under the cabinet and feel if the bottom is flush with the front of the cabinet or if you have to reach up to touch the bottom.

The hood/deflector of the toaster oven is removable to make installation easier. Remove it by pulling forward slightly on the hood to release the front hooks. Once the front hooks have released, the hooks at the rear will disengage easily.

1. Open cabinets and remove contents to make mounting easier.

2. Position the mounting template on the bottom of your cabinet, making sure to align thick line on template with front edge of your cabinet, taping securely. Check that the screw holes won’t line up with the dividing partition inside the cabinet.

If the cabinet has an overhang, measure the depth or thickness of it and find the dashed line on the template that has the same measure. This is the line to use for that cabinet, aligning with the front and carefully bending it around on the overhang, taping as you do that. Continue to keep it against the cabinet and finish positioning it and taping in place.

3. Drilling from under the cabinet up, drill holes through the 4 places marked on the template, using a ¼-inch drill bit making sure to drill straight up through the mark on the template and not at an angle. SAFETY TIP: Wear safety glasses.

4. After the holes are drilled, carefully remove the mounting template in case you move or wish to remount at a later time.

5. Clean up dust and debris inside the cabinet and the bottom underneath.

6. Place washer inside the cabinet over each of the 4 holes you drilled.

7. Hold hood in place, aligning front of hood with front edge of cabinet; drilled holes on cabinet should be aligned with mounting holes on the hood.

8. Insert the screws down through the holes inside the cabinet, tightening in place to secure hood to cabinet. If the cabinet has an overhang, measure the distance up to the bottom of the cabinet and use the number of spacers needed to equal that distance. For example, if the overhang measures 1″ up to the bottom of the cabinet, then two ½ inch spacers are needed on each screw to keep the toaster oven mounted level and even.

Note: Always tighten screws to ensure the appliance does not move or shake during operation.

Once the hood is secured, lift the toaster oven up, engaging the rear hooks on the hood first, and then the front. Any extra cord can be hung over the cord management hook behind the unit.

If you are doing the spacer installation, you will probably need someone to help hold spacers in place while placing the hood. A couple of clamps might be able to be used on the ones in the front if there isn’t anyone to help. Short of having clamps or someone to help, maybe you can think of something creative to solve that.

Now it is time to place the toaster oven on the hood and then wash toaster parts, inside, and outside of the oven. Plug it in and start cooking and toasting.

Vapor Barriers are often overlooked in the design stages, forgotten, not installed, or installed improperly. Green Board, Dryvit, various other “boards”, foil faced insulation and other types of sprayed-in-place urethane foam insulation are not considered vapor barriers, nor are generally recommended. There are very few acoustical ceiling tiles that are made to withstand the stratification of humidity in an indoor pool. Drop ceilings are discouraged as they become moisture traps in swimming environments. Many of these types of materials have been used in the past with extremely negative results; they are not bullet proof when it comes to moisture damage. Therefore, with an effective vapor retarder, good insulation, negative pressure and a properly designed pool room dehumidification system; moisture damage can be prevented in the design/construction stages.

What Materials Constitute a Vapor Barrier?

Generally, Vapor Barriers for an indoor pool are materials that do not permit moisture to migrate passed the surface areas into the structure. They are generally heavy plastic sheeting in 8, 10 or 12 mil. The effectiveness of the barriers to prevent moisture migration is rated by “permeability ratings”. The higher the perm rating, the less moisture will penetrate the barrier into the pool room structure. It is recommended the barrier have a perm rating of 0.10 or less when utilized in an indoor pool.

If an existing indoor pool and a vapor retarder cannot be installed under finished surfaces, other materials that can be considered vapor retarders are waterproof paints or other types of paints or sealants (check with a paint specialty or building professional). We also recommend reviewing ASHRAE Guidelines on vapor barriers for additional information.

Where is the Vapor Barrier located in an Indoor Pool?

The application of your vapor barrier is also critical to preventing moisture damage. The Vapor Barrier for all natatoriums is installed in the walls and ceilings under the finished surface (or the warm side of the pool room). We recommend 10-12 mil. seamless vapor barriers be installed by enveloping the entire pool room. The barrier is overlapped and sealed at the joints. Once installed, avoid penetrations of the barrier (i.e. top-hat recessed can lighting is not recommended; surface mount all lighting). All penetrations by mechanical and electrical contractors must be sealed air tight. It is recommended the wall vapor barrier be sealed (not just overlapped) to the ceiling vapor barrier.

Care must also be exercised in installing insulation around the pool enclosure, since poor insulation leads directly to higher energy and operating costs. Note that gaps in insulation create “cold spots” that promote moisture condensation as well. If negative pressure is not designed, moisture can and will migrate into areas outside of the pool room. A properly designed indoor pool will ensure attention to these three important aspects of moisture migration and humidity control.

STEP 13: On the Help protect Windows automatically page, click to select the Use recommended settings check box.

STEP 14: On the Review your time and date settings page, select the time zone, set the date and time, and then click Next.

STEP 15: Set the location where you will use the computer. In case you want to use the computer in a variety of locations, click on Public location.

STEP 16: On the “Thank you” page, click on Start. When the Windows Vista logon screen appears, remove the DVD from the DVD drive to finish the upgrade process.

It is advisable to install only a genuine edition of Windows Vista on your computer to save it from any kind of technical issue.

Limitations

In case, you are not having proper drivers for Vista, its peripherals will not work, like printer, scanner, etc. Sometimes Windows Media Player will stop giving any response. You may face any problem while working with Windows Mail.

5. If the plastic laminate underlayment is unattached, install the underlayment.

6. Cut door casing/jambs so that the laminate will slide underneath with limited clearance.

7. Snap a starter line using the longest wall in the room that is perpendicular to the floor joists. This line should extend through the majority of the room.

8. Lay the first row of laminate flooring using the snapped line as a reference. Secure the laminate by installing shims on the edges. The shim-space should not to exceed the width of the base shoe that will be installed later.

9. Lay additional rows one at a time. Be sure to offset the joints by 6 inches of the joints in the previous row. Continue to shim from the edges.

10. Install transition pieces according to their manufacturers.

11. Install base shoe to the trim around the edges.

12. Install matching putty or caulk in all nail holes and gaps.

13. Replace any furniture or appliances.
