Dublin – The City of Diversity

[ad_1]

Ireland is an island in every sense of the word. It is located between Europe and the US. It has managed to sustain more of the American and the European culture, than neighboring Britain. Dublin’s airport is surprisingly small for being the center of a developed economy. It is the American bridge to Europe and a home to the largest low-budget carrier of the old continent- the “Ryanair”.

You will find the spirit of Ireland within the contrast of it’s cities. And Dublin is a city of contrasts indeed – the contrast between the 7th financial center of Europe and the town of low buildings with brick facades in the XVIII century style; between the surprisingly calm center with it’s hiking areas and the enormous traffic jams; between the carefree, casual look of the people on the streets during a certain time of the day and the prices in the establishments, which is close to a normal Bulgarian salary. At the crossroads of global business, Ireland has defined itself as the most globalized country in the world. I found that the romantic idea of the Green Island still thrives unspoiled among the French and Australian wines, Polish and Chinese workers,American SUV-s, Burger King and plasma TV.

I arrived with the belief that Ireland is all about U2, dancing, and bad weather. Since Bono apparently rarely drops by the country, Irish dancing is certainly not a popular activity in the pubs, and I didn’t see any rain, I was pleased to discover just how fun it was to explore Dublin. From my Dublin apartment window I saw several large posters that invited for the exhibition of William Yates. While passing by them, I thought of the justification of the Royal Academy of Sweden, where the poet was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1926: For his truly inspired poetry, which essentially depicts the spirit of an entire nation.

How does one actually depict the spirit of a nation, that for half a century has had not one, but four literary Nobel Prize winners? Mathematically speaking, this means that for every one million of the Irish, there is at least one man that is a brilliant writer. Maybe this is precisely what makes Dublin a little more special than any other city in the world. In the days that I spent there, I went past two of the houses of Oscar Wilde, a couple more of James Joyce’s (as it appears, their number is endless).

I also found a sculpture exhibition dedicated to Bernard Shaw. It was part of a literary fest under the name of “Samuel Beckett”, covering a poster of the forthcoming show of Sinead O’Conner at a local club. Add to that the Monument of Wellington – the hero that defeated Napoleon.

The weather on the island is wet for most of the time. It is not too difficult to figure out why there is a place in the city, where one can find most of the popular pubs. Briefly speaking, the true Irish pub obviously represents a small place without enough seats, unlimited supply of beer, nice music in the background and a TV with “sky sports” on.

In Dublin, for example, there are more than 1000 pubs. And the “Temple Bar” is one that is definitely worth the visit.

The central area of Dublin is composed almost entirely of bars and pubs, ready to welcome you at any time of the day. For example there are 4 pubs next to my holiday apartment in Dublin. Besides its obvious advantages – a place which has more beer taps than visitors – Temple Bar is also near the pedestrian commercial area of Dublin. An area that is quite worth the straw, although the souvenirs’ prices are sinfully high.

If your passion is not shopping, but is instead education, history and sight seeings, you will definitely not be disappointed.

Here you will find the most famous university on the island – the Trinity College. There are several cathedrals(in one of which are kept the British military flags of the Crimean war).

The garden behind the parliament houses the National Gallery, the National Museum and the Natural Museum. In fact, the latter is just a small, old building, with a stunning collection of animals inside. Hanging from the ceiling, there is a huge whale skeleton. You will also find all kinds of animals- from the giraffes and rhinos to the small African insects. The whole heritage of the Irish zoologists, who traveled around the world is there.

On the corner of the same street, which I recognized from a U2 video, I found the home of Oscar Wilde. There was just a humble sign before it. When I looked further in the garden, I stumbled upon a gorgeous statue of Wilde himself, resting upon a stone, grinning flippantly at me.

I took my time to pay the honor in the memory of one of the most famous world writers.

History of Soccer

[ad_1]

As you probably know, soccer is the most played, watched and televised sport in the history of mankind. According to FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) there are currently 270 million people that are actively involved in the game of football. (That is about 4% of the world population) So why has this sport become such a grand interest for me and people alike? What is the history behind this widely spectated event?

Soccer which is referred as “football association” in Wikipedia is a sport that has roots dating back to the 2nd and 3rd century. The earliest form is said to have originated in China; a game called “cuju”. FIFA, the governing body of football, officially stated that China was the birthplace of its game in 2004.

In the latter decades, many other forms of the sport have been spotted in other regions of the world, such as “Harpastum” (Roman), “Kemari” (Japan), and “Knattleikr”. (Iceland) These games were of course a lot different from what modern football is all about. It was not until the 19th century that various forms of football became somewhat an organized event played mostly by prestigious public schools in England. There was much improvement in the course of the sport when Thomas Arnold (head of the ‘Rugby School’ helped to establish the first standardized rules of Rugby.

In Rugby, they allowed players to kick opponents legs below the knees (which was banned in the later years), handling the ball was also permitted. Following this development, football and rugby split on December, 1863. The modern game of football was born in England with the formation of the F.A. (Football Association) which is the governing body of football in England. Ebenezer Cobb Morley was a founding member of the Football Association in which he stressed out the importance of a governing body for football. After the F.A. was established he laid down the “Laws of football” that implemented the rules the game is played today. On January 9th, 1864, the first exhibition football game was played at the Battersea Park. In only eight years, the F.A. had 50 member clubs and grew rapidly allowing a competition to emerge in 1972. The F.A. Cup is the first football competition and in England regarded as the most prestigious one. The ‘Wanderers’ were the first team to win the cup, beating the ‘Royal Engineers’ 1-0.

Football popularized slowly in other countries with the help of British influence. It was not until 1889, other countries (Netherlands and Denmark) would embrace this wonderful game. Football started growing rapidly with the following countries; New Zealand (1891), Argentina (1893), Chile, Switzerland, Belgium (1895), Italy (1898), Germany, Uruguay (1900), and Hungary (1901) adopting football associations of their own.

In 1904, FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) was formed in Paris to regulate international fixtures and there were seven founding members (France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland). The first international football competition was introduced at the 1908 London Summer Olympics with Great Britain winning gold, Denmark silver and the Netherlands bronze. The emergence of World War I (1914-1918) and World War II (1939-1945) brought the growing sport to a halt resuming years after the war. By 1950, FIFA had 51 member countries. Before the creation of the World Cup (the most prestigious football competition), FIFA organized a football competition within the Summer Olympics. In 1930, FIFA would manage their own tournament in Uruguay; the host nation to be the first football team to have won the cup that would be the most spectated than any other professional tournament today.

Football today, is a much growing sport with 208 national teams recognized by FIFA, in addition there are thousands of club teams competing with each other in various leagues and cups for global dominance. The sport has become an addiction for many people around the world, helping nations and people get together as they cheer their team away hoping one day, their team will bring home a trophy. The future of football always has room for improvement and hopefully will grow interest in the U.S. as elsewhere. “Fair-play” is the name of the game.

Gable Insurance and Their Impact on the UK Insurance Industry

[ad_1]

If you are involved in any way with the Insurance Industry then over the last few years you would have heard an incredible amount regarding a company called Gable Insurance and they have had a profound impact on both the way that Insurance is written now and also the amount of knowledge that the client themselves have of their Insurance policies.

A few years ago the Insurance markets especially within both the Leisure and Construction Industries were flooded by Gable Insurance writing policies that were both way below the market norm on premium but also written on unrated paper with them being unrated in the United Kingdom and instead having their business being run from Lichtenstein. This did not seem to faze most clients who were more than happy with the monetary saving on their policies that they did not question the paper on which it was being written.

Flash forward to October 2016 and Gable Insurance has officially entered into Administration meaning that every broker that placed business through Gable Insurance now has a very big problem on their hands in that they have clients that are currently insured via a financially unstable company and that in the event of any claims they are not assured to be paid out meaning that although the client has saved on their premium they may end up having to pay themselves in the event of any claims being made against them leaving the, more out of pocket than they would have been if their insurance had been on rated and secure paper.

At first this was not something that had a time limit on but it was recently announced back in November that all policies that were with Gable Insurance would expire on the 16th December 2016 and all cover would cease at midnight on this day meaning that all policies would need to be replaced by this date and with another Insurer. This has left Insurance Brokers around the country scrambling to find rated Insurers that can cover the trades that Gable Insurance were covering and without a huge increase in the premium, although due to the fact that the main reason Gable Insurance were so bad for the Industry was that they were writing business at a premium that should never have been done so clients are going to have to understand that the premium that they will pay will increase as the financial security on the insurance policy increases.

Benefits That Can Be Derived From Outsourcing Companies

[ad_1]

The term outsourcing is generally used for contracting out business function to an external entity. The concept of outsourcing helps the firms to perform better in their core competencies. Outsourcing of project to an entity or company outside the country is generally referred as off shoring or offshore IT outsourcing. The major reason of outsourcing is that whole world is going through global economic crisis; while different businesses look for niches, in which they can invest and make money. As said earlier due to economic crisis the businesses are not sure whether that particular niche will prove beneficial or not. As starting business in any niche requires a lot of capital investment. To make their investment secure they opt for outsourcing option.

There are generally three types of IT outsourcing companies, which are technology services outsourcing, business process outsourcing and knowledge process outsourcing.

Low cost

The benefits achieved by companies by outsourcing a specific service or project is overall cost saving. As developing nations have low labor cost which helps the outsourcing companies to provide results on low costs. For businesses, in early period of a project it is very difficult to bear huge expenses. Outsourcing helps the companies by reducing their capital investment.

Increased efficiency

It is a proven fact that bulk actions can never be accomplished with limited helping hands. A company, who prefer to do all the tasks like research, development, distribution and marketing all by itself, ends up with higher expenses and inferior quality service. This technique ultimately results in unsatisfied customers. By outsourcing the overhead workload to outsourcing companies, help the company to increase its efficiency and providing high quality work to customers.

Ease labor costs

Besides the wage, training the newly hired employees also adds up company’s expenditure. The worst part is that most of the newly hired employees flee away as soon as their training is completed and when they are ready to produce work. Outsourcing helps the company to focus on its core work while utilizing the human resource where needed most. Moreover, outsourcing also cuts costs on taxes, insurances and other employee related benefits and expenses.

Launching new projects right away

To launch a project, the first problem is to hire employees, make room for them in company, train newly hired employees and then start the project gradually. With business IT outsourcing, companies can start new projects right off the bat.

Focus on business essentials

A manager or owner should always be on the direction of company which helps to eliminate the risks involved. Focusing on other aspects such as government regulations, financial conditions and market competitions makes the business vulnerable. An outsourcing firm can easily take care of all these kinds of issues while business owner focus on major business aspects. Aside from these benefits, other benefits are improving quality of work, access to talent, enhancing the innovation, risk management and tax benefit.

Before getting overwhelmed by the advantages of outsourcing companies and hiring one to carry your tasks, you should first asses the outsourcing company. Check whether the company you are going to hire can carry on the projects efficiently. Is company prepared and have enough resources to manage the projects efficiently. Also, check that can you or that company easily cope up with time and cultural differences and barriers.

Regularly Scan the Registry With the Registry Cleaner to Have Error Free Registry

[ad_1]

There are different factors that make the registry clog up and it becomes increasingly difficult for the operating system to access the key values and retrieve them to run the system.

In such a situation we experience different problems with the PC like,

  • Unusually slower start up.
  • Longer response time.
  • Slower performance.
  • Automatic restarts.
  • System 32 errors.
  • Windows explorer errors

With these problems frequently happening, it becomes impossible to work with the PC and the only effective solution to get rid of these problems is to fix the errors with a registry cleaning software.

How the registry cleaner optimizes PC performance?

The software scans the system to detect the errors in the registry keys. It removes the outdated entries that are no more being used by the system, fragmented keys that are left after installation or uninstallations of software, embedded keys that are created by the malware programs. By removing these unwanted entries from the system database the software trims the size of the system log and makes it easier for the operating system to access the values in the system database that surely improves the performance of the computer.

How to get a window registry cleaner?

There are many websites from where you can download a pc cleaning tool. The only thing that you have to ensure is that it is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using. It is important because each version of Windows uses different methods for maintaining the system database. Therefore, you have to download the software that is compatible with the version of the Windows you are having. For example, when you are having Windows XP, then you have to get a software that is made to work with Windows XP and only then you will get the full utility of the software.

Why do we need to take a registry cleaner trial?

To make sure that the software you have downloaded is working fine and you can manage the software effectively, it is better to take a cleaner trial. Most of the software that you need to buy from the vendor come with a trial period when you can test the software by using it. Only if you are satisfied with the performance of the software, you will buy that product otherwise you will try different software to clean the registry.

Who in the World is Clinton Ober?

[ad_1]

Clinton Ober was born on the 14th of July in 1944. He spent his learning years growing up and becoming familiar with nature while living in the state of Montana. His initial training in nature consisted of learning many of the ways of the Native Americans who resided nearby. His surrounding community consisted mostly of ranchers and farmers from whom he discovered his deep respect for the land he walked upon.

What really sets Clinton apart from most other people is that Mr. Ober made a life shacking discovery. During a period of his life when he was ill and almost died he found himself spending a considerable amount of time in the hospital. One day when he woke up he realized that the blues in the sky and the greens in the grass were more vivid and clearer then he had ever noticed previously. He had a great desire to do something constructive that would benefit mankind and so he quickly parted with all his material possessions and ventured forth to take on a new life. As he sat thinking, he wondered what he would now do with his life and to his amazement he come up with a short quote, “become an opposite charge”.

This quote stuck clearly in his mind as he progressed about on his daily tasks. Perhaps his subconscious was trying to send him some sort of message telling him what he should now make his top priority. As he studied the issue further he devised an understanding that even as a human we have a particular bio-electrical relationship with our surrounding earth. This concept was similar to that found in electrical theory. He comes to the conclusion that by way of a ground connection the human body could be neutralized of any charge resulting in a more positive nervous system.

Since we are currently residing in an electrical predominant world we have come to lose contact with our natural grounding effect which leaves us extremely vulnerable to any sort of outside electrical interference. Clinton concluded that this affects the way our cells behave and the transfer of vital information concerning our wellbeing.

Over a period of several years Clinton spent a considerable amount of time digging deeper into the mysteries of charges, grounding and its effects on the human body. This was virgin territory and the engineers and scientist as well as those in the medical profession that he consulted were essentially useless in providing data for Clintons work. Finally he compiled a paper on EMF and its complicated issues concerning the body. Mr. Ober noticed that effects that occur to humans when they were subjected to specific amounts of EMF simply could not be reproduced in animal tests. What was different here he wondered.

Aha, the answer lied in shoes. Animals wear no shoes but humans wear then for many hours each and every day. In addition the animals did not sleep in beds that were insulated from the ground. Without shoes and sleeping on the ground the animals were effectively discharging excess static buildup.

It was discovered that when humans were grounded as they slept healing of the body took a rapid positive leap. With his new found knowledge Clinton designed a method where humans could be grounded while sleeping in their bed. The result of this research was that 85 percent of the test subjects fell asleep quicker when they were grounded and 93 percent admitted they slept better. There was a marked feeling of restfulness upon awakening, less muscle stiffness and a drastic reduction in back related problems.

Just as everyone was preparing to call Mr. Ober a quack his research was confirmed by a Dr Russell Whitten who confirmed the results by grounding 35 of his patients. Without doubt the human body needed to have a period of grounding in order to lead a non-stressful lifestyle. Grounding the body can have a significant effect upon the bodies’ health. In addition, going barefooted whenever it is possible provides somewhat of the same result. So now you know the significant work performed by Mr. Clinton Ober. Try your own experiments and see what you come up with.

A Direct Relation Between School and Education

[ad_1]

There are two types of relations between two variables, i-e the direct and indirect relation. The relation between education and school is direct because literacy rate can be augmented by the increasing numbers of school. This bond between school and education is so ancient that we do not find an exact date of its origin. However, its traces can be seen in the countries like ancient Greece, Rome, and China.

Regional usage of the word ‘school’

The application of the word ‘school’ varies from a country to a country. In the United Kingdom, this word refers principally to pre-university institutions, and they can be divided into pre-schools or nursery schools, primary schools, and secondary schools.

It is of less importance that at which level your child is studying, either he is at the primary or the secondary level. The essential part is that the institute, in which he studies, provides him/her the standard quality of education. This is because only right guidance at right age gives one the firm foundation, necessary for his growth and development.

The quality of the UK school and education

The quality of the UK schools is among the best in the world. The prep school, public, private and primary schools have proven that their courses meet strict criteria and now we see that the other countries, especially the third-world countries are also trying to follow the pattern of the UK schools. Why is it so? This is because they provide the effervescent, creative and challenging environment to the pupil so that they can give full vent to their ability and potential.

The education system in the UK is also divided into “key stages” which are as follows: key stage 1 – 5 to 7 years old, key stage 2 – 7 to 11 years old, key stage 3 – 11 to 14 years old, key stage 4 – 14 to 16 years old. The primary education starts at the age of 5, sometimes this stage of education is further split into two levels, i-e infant/nursery schools and junior schools. Next is the secondary education, which takes in the subsequent level of education between the age group of 11-16 years. Then further education and higher education begin at the age of 18 at colleges or universities.

The payback of the dispersal of education

Though, the benefits of education are innumerable but some are cited below;

  • Education directs one how to think and what to think.
  • It inflames the mind of young ones with intellect and wisdom.
  • Enhance the quality of understanding, which later helps and guides oneself to the right choice of the profession.
  • Education or knowledge plays an important role in the infusion of civilization in the society.
  • It propagates sophisticated and cultured behaviour in a being.

Put briefly, the purposely end of the education is to wipe out ignorance and immorality from the world and emancipate the human mind with its full velocity and vastness.

Energy Conservation Tips – Essentials of a Homemade Solar Panel

[ad_1]

Picture a beautiful ranch with horses and cattle. In the center of the picture stands a house that is totally self sufficient from the standpoint of electrical power. There are three fundamental methods for achieving this outcome. Two are mechanical. Wind and water turbines convert the movement of air (from the wind) or water (from a stream, for example) in to electricity. The solar panel, on the other hand, captures the energy from sunlight and converts it directly into direct current. While each has its virtues, only solar power generates electricity silently without involving moving parts. Thus, your solar panel system is not subject to the wear and tear of a system which generates electricity through the movement of a turbine.

One important energy conservation tip is use of homemade solar panels to generate a clean, renewable, ecologically-friendly alternative energy source power household appliances. If you are interested in reducing dependence on fossil fuels while reducing your electricity costs this article can get you started on the path to a “greener” home.

Why solar panels? With the ever-present threat of Global Warming looming over our heads, clean and renewable energy is an appealing alternative to electricity generated from fossil fuels. Solar energy can reduce the monthly cost of electricity. It is a technology amenable to DIY projects.

Solar panels harness the power of sunlight to generate electricity through the use of photovoltaic (PV) cells. If money is no object, a contractor can be hired to obtain and install a solar system for you. For those of us in the “other” category, there are other less expensive options. These include purchasing solar panel kits, refurbishing used solar panels, and the ultimate DIY of making panels from component parts. Solar panels can create a more self-sufficient household, which meets all or a large portion of household electrical energy needs. The ideal scenario would have the electricity generated exceed the household needs permitting electricity to be sold back to the Grid.

Although the there are other component required for more complex systems, the basic elements of a homemade solar panel system include:

-Solar panel(s)

-Charge controller

-Battery

-Inverter

Solar panel – The fundamental and essential component of a solar energy system is the solar panel or panels, consisting of a series of PV cells, which are combined to generate an electrical current usable in real time. In the solar panel, PV cells are linked together to generate an electrical current which is the sum of the currents produced by each cell. The serious DIY can obtain PV cells, attach them to a plywood board, wire them together, and cover them with glass for protection. Buying a kit can provide the “less handy” of us with an option which is still less than hiring a contractor but much less cumbersome since the part all contained in the kit.

Charge controller or regulator – This unit controls the charging of the battery so as to prevent overcharging. It also tracks the battery discharge status during the evening. By doing this, the charge regulator maximizes the life of each battery, thereby maximizing the efficiency of your solar energy system.

Battery – The electricity not immediately used is stored by a battery or series of batteries. Deep-cycle or marine batteries are preferable to automobile batteries because they are capable of storing all or virtually all of the electricity generated by the solar panels, thus minimizing waste. Such batteries are capable of storing considerably more energy than the standard automobile battery. Can auto batteries be use? Of course, but remember, you will need more of them to do the same job.

Inverter – Virtually all of our electrical appliances utilize AC or Alternating Current, whereas the electricity generated and stored in our solar powered system is DC or Direct Current. Therefore, the Inverter is the key to converting DC current into AC, creating electricity to power everything from your lights to the refrigerator. This is the key to the conversion of energy from the sun into a form that can be used to power your household appliances.

If a solar panel system is designed with the intent of generating enough electricity to “sell back” to the Grid, then the components will include the AC Breaker Panel, and a Kilowatt-per-Hour Indicator. The KW per Hour indicator, for example, is necessary to track how much current is provided to and from the grid to determine the charge or credit that appears on your monthly electric bill.

As you consider what path you will take on your energy conservation quest, don’t forget some of the least expensive and most cost-effective options such as Energy-Saver fluorescent light bulbs.
