How to Clean Your Neff Built Under Double Oven

The double ovens that are available from Neff feature two oven cavities and each has at least three different cooking options- the number of options increases, the higher the series of oven he model is. For example, the series six Neff ovens will have more cooking options than the more basic series one ovens, but all have at least three.

Neff seem to have done a pretty good job of making the maintenance of their built under double ovens as easy and the least time consuming as is possible and have built in or provided accessories that are designed to make keeping your oven clean with the least effort from you.

One of these accessories is the CeramiClean® Liners that can be placed on the back, sides and ceiling of each of the oven cavities. They work by absorbing and oxidising the grease particles that can build up over time inside your oven to prevent them from getting out of control and leaving you with a really grimy oven. This is a one off purchase from Neff and the CeramiClean® liners should never need replacing, making them a pretty good investment in the cleanliness of the inside of your Neff built under double oven.

A cleaning function that is built in to some of Neff’s ovens is the AquaCleanse® technology, which works by softening greasy residues that can then be wiped away. This feature does require a little bit of elbow grease from whoever’s job it is to clean the oven, but not as much as you might expect. To clean your Neff built under double oven using this feature, wait until the oven has cooled down immediately after cooking. You will need to add three quarters of a pint of water and some washing up liquid to the base of your oven. You then need to select the Q symbol on the control panel of your oven. This function works by activating the bottom heat function and heating the water that is mixed with the washing up liquid to a temperature of 60ºC. This produces steam throughout the oven cavity and effectively steam cleans the oven by softening any greasy deposits that may have built up over time. When the water cools down, you then have to wipe out the inside of the oven with a sponge or a cloth- a process that is made far easier by the AquaCleanse® function, but does not eradicate entirely the need for some manual input. But another benefit of this function is that it is very environmentally friendly and does not use much energy.

Unlike the other two cleaning options, Pyrolytic cleaning is a self cleaning system and requires very little manual work. It is only available on the B4562 and B4472 models. The process works by heating the oven to around 500°C, which burns off any deposits from baking, roasting and grilling as you can imagine at that heat. You are left with a perfectly clean oven and a little bit of fine ash residue that is easy to remove with a damp cloth. Because of the high heat that the oven reaches during this process, the oven door automatically locks until the oven has cooled to a safer level. This takes about an hour or two and can be run overnight by using the timer.

One of the main issues with an air mattress, however, is air leakage. This is something that will happen sooner or later, but there are alternatives.

The foam mattress is one of your best alternatives to the air mattress. It’s all-purpose, portable and durable. It may be little bulkier and heavier, but it’s a fair trade for the durability gained. There are two kinds of foam mattresses, closed cell and open cell. The closed cell mattress is made of a harder, usually, waterproof foam. The open cell foam is softer, covered with a protective material and requires some air to inflate through the open cell structure. The good news is these mattresses are self inflating.

Here are some of the pros and cons of the foam camping mattress:

Open cell foam:

Pros:

  • It’s very lightweight, although heavier than an air mattress.
  • It’s very portable and can be compacted to a small size. Some models are comparable to an air mattress.
  • It provides good insulation from the ground.
  • The open celled foam mattress self inflates, saving you the time and effort of doing it yourself.

Cons:

  • These mattresses still require air, so they can still be punctured, although repair kits are available.
  • They can be expensive.

Some good examples of open celled foam mattresses are the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir XLite and the Therm-a-Rest luxury map.

Closed cell foam:

Pros:

  • Multipurpose; closed cell foam can be used as seat to rest on or in some cases, as a water float (I personally use a foam pool float).
  • Portable; these are usually heavier and bulkier than air mattresses or open celled mattresses but still surprisingly light and portable as these can be folded, rolled or otherwise compacted for transportation.
  • It’s durable, that means no air leaks and no ending up on the ground in the middle of the night. The closed cell foam mattress is a good choice for rocky surfaces or areas where an air mattress or open celled mattress could get punctured.

Cons:

  • Heavier and bulkier than air or closed cell mattresses
  • May not provide a lot of padding (more padding equals more bulk).

Other alternatives include laying down a few blankets or comforters, bamboo mats and survival beds (I’ll explain this). I’ll go over the pros and cons of each:

Blankets/comforters:

Pros:

  • It’s cheap, because you already own these, you don’t have to buy anything new.
  • This is a very flexible method as you can play with the thickness of the padding under you or over you.
  • Durable as the blankets can conform to any surface without being punctured, although they can tear, but even with a tear they are still useable

Cons:

  • Very heavy and bulky, definitely not for hiking.
  • Not very compact, will not fit in a pack well.
  • May not provide a lot of padding (as mentioned before, more padding equals more bulk).

Bamboo mat: The bamboo mat is a lightweight portable alternative to an air mattress, however its application is limited to warmer climates.

Pros:

  • It’s cheap.
  • It’s lightweight.
  • It’s compact.
  • It’s durable.
  • It’s multipurpose, you can use it to sit on, eat on, lay on, possibly more.

Cons:

  • Although, it’s durable, it can break with enough force.
  • Provides very little protection from the ground in terms of insulation.
  • May not be very comfortable if the ground is rough.

Survival beds: Survival beds are made from materials you find in your environment. The idea is to get you off the ground and provide you cushion and insulation. For examples they could be as simple as piling up leaves or pine boughs. Another step up would be laying out logs and then piling bedding like those mentioned above on top of the logs. Or they could be more involved and require some lashing, cutting and assembly.

Pros:

  • These types of beds are free.
  • You can consider these weightless as far as hiking is concerned, because they are made on the spot and left behind when you leave.
  • Nothing to carry, except maybe a knife.
  • No need to worry about durability, because you aren’t keeping it.
  • Can be very comfortable and warm if done right.

Cons:

  • Takes more time and energy than other types of bedding.
  • If done wrong, these may offer no protection from the ground.

As you can see, there are several alternatives to the air mattress. Some are good for hiking, some are not. Again, I’m not knocking air mattresses, they make great camping mattresses, and sometimes these are the ideal solution. Light weight, soft and insulated. And if you buy a quality mattress, you won’t have to worry so much about leaks, which can be patched any way. The air mattress is a good all-purpose camping mattress, but it’s good to have alternatives.

Reduce the flow of water through your shower and you reduce the use of hot water. You could take a “Navy Shower:”

… And save a lot of hot water – but most people would rather take a full shower, so low flow water saving is the best route. Or, of course, without seeming flip, you can always save water by showering with a friend. Good for relationships, good for the earth, and makes lots of sense – it’s good clean fun. To paraphrase an old adage about marriage, two can shower as cheaply as one – almost.

There are many different types of low flow shower heads: ones designed for normal water pressure, ones designed for homes with lower water pressure, ones with various “massage” features, and just plain and simple… ones that use less water. How Would We Ever Exist Without Neon?

All of us have seen neon usage. On the other hand, what do we kn ow about the element neon? What is it? Where is it found? How do we get it into usable form?What are some of its characteristics?

Neon is an element that is found in gaseous form. Neon is rare on Earth, however, it is quite abundant in the universe. In fact, it ranks fifth among the most abundant elements in the universe. The Earth has less because of neon’s light weight and inherent chemical nature. Volcanic gas contains large amounts of neon.

Our atmosphere contains a little bit of neon, and it can be extracted by a method called absorption. In this method the air is super chilled at temperatures below 441 degrees F so it becomes a liquid. When this is run over charcoal the neon molecules stick to the charcoal. If the temperature is raised the neon can be “boiled off” and captured. Since the air does not contain that much neon it is necessary to process 88,000 pounds of liquefied air to get one pound of neon.

Neon is a first-rate conductor of electricity and because of this and the fact that it has an amazing ability to give off a light that is able to be seen at great distances its most frequent uses are in airplane beacons, in lamps, and in advertising signs. Some pilots have reported seeing neon beacons twenty miles away when it was impossible for them to see other kinds of lights. Neon light can be seen through the fog.

There are two types of neon that are commonly used. One is the glowing discharge lamps which are small in size and able to be operated at low voltage. Popular uses for these lamps are in circuit-testing equipment and power-on indicators. The other type operates at a very high voltage and is widely used in advertising signs. Neon is used commercially as a popular refrigerant because it is less expensive than helium. In liquid form it is very expensive and hard to obtain when used for testing purposes.

The bright red signs we see are glass tubes shaped into letters or numbers and filled with neon gas. A few drops of mercury are added to the glass to produce blue light in signs. When all the air is removed from the glass tubes and they are filled with neon a neon lamp is created. Sending an electrical current from electrode at one end of the tube through the neon to a second electrode makes the gas glow fiery red. Neon lamps, unlike incandescent lamps, do not have filaments since it is the gas that glows. It takes only a quart of neon to light up 200-300 feet of glass tubing.

This light strikes a variety of light-emitting phosphorescent materials which are coated on the inside of the glass tube thus producing various colors. To create a blue light the glass is left clear. For the creation of special color effects xenon, krypton, and helium gases are sometimes used.

There is a high demand for neon, particularly due to its extensive use in advertising, plus a number of other beneficial uses. This makes the production of neon a highly profitable business for the most part. The danger with neon occurs when it is allowed to reach high concentrations. In such cases it displaces the oxygen in lungs of humans which usually results in death.

For commercial purposes neon is obtained from the air, For industrial use neon is is produced by fractional distillation of liquid air through the cryogenic method. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. Pure neon costs $33. per 100 grams. Neon, because of its many useful benefits, has become a part of American life. It is unfortunate that it is only available in small quantities since the demand for neon is very high.

Without neon there would be no neon signs which would harm the public and business alike. Since the majority of neon usage is for neon signs which produce revenue for businesses and save time and money for the buyer, their absence would be harmful to both parties. Indeed, there are many other valuable uses of neon that are not widely known to the public. Neon’s use in wave meter tubes, television tubes, and helium-neon lasers would be lost. Moreover, its use in certain refrigeration applications in place of the more expensive liquid helium would be lost.

Now this is a delicate manner, you can chose between Tomes and Orbs. In the Aion Sorcerer guide I use, I saw that I’ll be fighting mostly higher level mobs, for this you’ll need the Tome because it gives more Magic Accuracy. If you plan on killing lower or equal level mobs then go for the Orb, which gives magic damage.

Aion Sorcerer Leveling Guide – Spell Rotation

I use this spell rotation at level 24 and I’ve seen many people still using it at level 35 and above, so it must be good since it was in the Aion Sorcerer leveling guide I use too.

Start with Lumiel’s Wisdom if you have it, 50% less mana cost.

1. Delayed Blast, wont aggro if the mob doesn’t resist the effect.

2. Ice Chain, to snare the target so you can kite.

3. Frozen Shock, chains off the Ice Chain spell freezing the target in place.

4. Flame Cage, a normal damage over time spell.

5. Flame Bolt

6. Blaze, chains off of Flame Bolt and does more damage than using Flame Harpoon instead of Flame Bolt.

7. Erosion, a second damage over time spell.

8. Flame Harpoon.

At this point your target should be dead, if it’s not just use Flame Cage, Flame Bolt again. Using this information has made all the difference in the world for me, and I found it all in one place, an Aion Sorcerer leveling guide.

Again, diabetics should note that coconut products may be very sweet.

Autumn… eat sweet and slightly bitter and astringent foods instead of pungent, sour, salty foods. Find a balance between cooling and hot foods and light and heavy foods. Eat more soups, warming spices, pomegranates and seasonal fruits, as well more bitter, green vegetables and spices.

Diatary instructions for persons with different doshas

In Ayurveda, the optimal diet depends on your dosha and the season. The generic instructions vary from person depending which of the three doshas is predominant in any one person:

Vata persons:

Foods… vata types should concentrate on eating avocado, cooked grains, cooked root vegetables, stewed fruits, nuts, seeds, foods produced using coconut or olive oil, full-fat dairy, ghee, and drink spiced milks and warm beverages… avoid frozen or very cold foods… eat mostly cooked foods, including cooked vegetables and cooked or dried fruit… go for sweet, sour and salty tastes rather than bitter, pungent or astringent tastes… use spices that help warm the body

Liquids… drink warm water or tea… avoid too much juice, drinking too much water

Mealtimes… to help the digestion, they should eat at predictable, regular times… don’t fast or skip meals… space your meals so you digest one meal fully before eating the next… avoid staying up late at night and eating just prior to bed

If you are a predominantly vata person, you will notice that ‘forbidden’ foods are recommended… oil, full-fat dairy, milks and so on.

Pitta persons:

Foods… pitta types should concentrate on eating seasonal cooling fruits and vegetables, beans (except for tempeh), rice, barley, quinoa, oats, kamut, pumpkin seeds, sesame, almonds, organic cane sugar, cilantro, coriander, mint, chicken, turkey, goat, ghee, olive oil, and coconut oil… avoid spicy foods, fried foods, sour foods, tomatoes, yogurt, vinegar, artificial sweeteners and alcoholic drinks… avoid too much spicy or sour foods, instead going for sweet, bitter and astringent foods… spice their food lightly at the most… eat cooled foods rather than very hot foods… not eat very oily foods or anything deep-fried… cook at only a medium heat… avoid eating a lot of raw food

Mealtimes… eat smaller meals during the day instead of two to three big meals… space out meals by a minimum of three hours to avoid heartburn.

Here again are foods that diabetics need to watch out for… nuts, ghee, oils, and so on.

Kapha persons:

Food… kapha types should concentrate on eating low-fat dairy products, light fruits, honey, all beans (except tofu), all grains (especially barley and millet), seasonal vegetables, and spices… not eat lots of sweet, very fat or salty foods… go for pungent, bitter and astringent tasting food instead of sweet, sour and salty food… eat slowly to avoid overeating

Liquids… avoid beverages with too much salt and water.

The number of times you should eat in a day depends on your dosha. Vata types should eat more often to feel more confident and avoid anxiety. The other two doshas may not need to snack as much as the vata types and can go longer between meals. Kapha types should space out their meals to avoid overeating at just one or two meals.
