Hopper windows are typically found in basements or other rooms where there is not much space for a window to project to the outside. There is still a screen on the outside of a hopper window, and since the window opens to the inside, the edge of the screen should match your exterior colors.

Both awning and hopper windows can be purchased with various finishes on the interior as well as different types of glass, including energy efficient choices. Finishes and glass options are important decisions to consider when adding awning or hopper windows to your home.
